Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Manufacturing in Albany, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for unarmed patrol duties throughout the facility. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while on site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or hazards in and around the location.
  • Assist with controlling access to the premises and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Complete incident and daily activity reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
