The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Programmer Analyst to join the team in El Segundo, CA

The ideal candidate will bring relevant and practical experience from previous roles to their new position in support of the full software life cycle. The position will be responsible for maintenance and support of multiple modules in the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Common Image suite of applications, including their core features and integrations with other systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • System enhancements and break fixes

  • System integration development and maintenance

  • Software security scanning and resolutions

  • Technical debt mitigations, including application rewrites due to technical obsolescence

  • System Compliance maintenance and Documentation

  • System Change Management and Documentation

  • System Configuration Management

  • Partner with business functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and interfacing system developers for requirements, design, testing, deployment, and support

  • Support continuous learning to gain expertise in system functionality, data schemas, environments, configurations, integrations, and related business processes

  • Product Support, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

  • Product Management, Coordination

  • Effective, comprehensive communication skills, written and verbal

  • Self-direct, operate independently with a well-defined Statement of Work (SOW); leads others in pursuit of common objectives

  • Handle sensitive information and export-controlled data

  • Maintain a productive sense of urgency, makes progress on multiple priorities, and delivers as planned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience within information technology

  • Experience in an application development role, performing core activities across the software lifecycle- from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, integrations, deployments, and production support

  • Experience troubleshooting technical system issues

  • Experience working with web programming languages and related infrastructure/services

  • Experience with SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science field or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and/or other Manufacturing or Quality systems

  • Experience and proficiency with system integration and maintenance using JMS (Java Message Service), JBOSS Fuse/Camel, XML, and/or XSLT

  • Experience working with enterprise applications and projects with multiple points of external integration

  • Experience working with common industry development tools such as C#, ASP.NET Framework

  • Experience working with common industry development tools such as Unix scripts, Kotlin, Javascript (Angular, React JS), Spring Boot, Cloud(PCF), CI/CD, Visual Studio, JetBrains Suite, Automated Test Suites (e.g. NUnit, XUnit), Git, GitLab, MVC, NuGet, Artifactory

  • Experience working with WebSphere, Windows, and Linux servers

  • Experience working with system integration toolsets and methodologies such as RESTful Web Services development and/or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
