Information Technology Systems Analyst

The Information Technology Systems Analyst is responsible for the technical support and configuration of LifeSource’s corporate applications. They will act as the liaison with designated system functional owners and application vendors regarding system upgrades, service requests, reporting, and issue resolution. This role involves driving continuous improvement in application systems, troubleshooting, and providing technical solutions to meet business needs. The IT Systems Analyst works closely with the IT infrastructure team to maintain, optimize, and support the application system environment.
Please note: This role is hybrid on-site in Minneapolis, MN.
As a Information Technology Systems Analyst, you’ll advance our life-saving work by performing the following job duties:
Provides technical expertise of functionality, configuration, and testing of applications. This includes:
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications to support system selection, updates/upgrades, or changes.
- Prioritize, coordinate, implement updates and requested changes to the systems. Review release notes with functional owners, ensure requested changes pass user acceptance testing (UAT), and align system changes to technical change management protocols.
- Promote application lifecycle management (ALM) best practices, in partnership with functional owners, from contract mgmt. and budgeting to technical support.
- Support operational data/report requests through use of embedded reporting functionality or by engaging vendor support.
- Participate in validation and testing sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs.
- Ensure system security, compliance, and performance by working with IT teams and functional owners to implement necessary controls, patches, updates, and audits to adhere to industry standards and internal policies.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate systems need to develop recommendations for customers.
- Develop, support and/or maintain all required system configuration documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, vendors, customers, competitors, and other informed individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to 5 years of application support and/or application development within healthcare or related industry.
- The ability to gather and create requirements that can be developed via internal or external resources.
- Ability to translate technical language in a consumable way for non-technical audiences.
- Experience in system analysis and design, including knowledge of standards and data integration principles, data export in Excel, CSV, XPS format, basic understanding of database security.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to approach work conscientiously and methodically.
- Detail oriented and highly organized with a desire to improve processes, take initiative and solve problems.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical and reporting skills, and ability to present and communicate findings to management or other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, personal team member data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information and medical or protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.
- Proven self-directed, motivated contributor with a strong initiative and ability to function autonomously, establish priorities and work effectively within a team environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours. Also participates in On-Call rotation that responds to high priority general IT issues during non-business hours. Hybrid on-site in Minneapolis, MN.
Projected offer rate range: $80-95k, based on relevant experience.
