Responsibilities:

• Independent development of a wide variety of non-woven products according to rough specifications in the mobility, energy and filter media sectors, including preparation and supervision of the associated tests on plants

• Budget responsibility in agreed development projects

• Planning, preparation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of work in the laboratory, in the pilot plant and of measurements for own trials and, after coordination, of trials in the staple fibre pilot plant for other divisions of FPM 

• Evaluation of own and competitor materials with existing test methods according to OEM test specifications at external service providers as well as development of new test methods

• Documentation of project, test and measurement results

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or similar with several years of relevant professional experience in the field of R&D and production as well as successful further training as a technician or master craftsman

• Very good knowledge in the field of nonwovens and the corresponding manufacturing processes 

• Leadership experience to be able to drive issues forward in international, multifunctional cross-division teams

• Experience in preparing, calculating, carrying out and evaluating tests, laboratory work and measurements

• Independent, planned and concentrated way of working with target and result orientation

• Quick comprehension, strong implementation skills, dynamic and able to work under pressure
