Work Structure

· Commitment: 10-20 hours per week, flexible scheduling

· Engagement Model: Project-based with 1-2 week advance notice

· Peak Periods: Occasional full-time weeks during critical engagements

· Travel: Rare, primarily virtual delivery model

Core Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Delivery

• Lead technical due diligence kickoff meetings with PE firms and target companies

• Present complex technical findings to mixed technical/business audiences

• Facilitate stakeholder discussions during high-pressure diligence processes

• Deliver clear, actionable recommendations based on Sema's comprehensive code

analysis

Technical Analysis & Communication

• Interpret Sema's codebase health reports for diverse stakeholder groups

• Translate technical metrics (code quality, security risks, technical debt) into business

implications

• Guide clients through our proprietary scoring methodology

• Handle technical objections and concerns with confidence

Key Deliverables

Per Engagement (Typical 2-4 week cycle)

• Kickoff Facilitation: Lead 1-2 stakeholder alignment sessions

• Technical Presentations: Deliver 1-2 findings presentations to executive audiences

• Executive Summaries: Create, update, and/or present business-focused technical

assessments

• Stakeholder Management: Maintain ongoing communication with 3-5 key decision

makers

• Documentation: Provide engagement summary and lessons learned

Monthly Deliverables

• Client feedback synthesis and process improvement recommendations

• Knowledge transfer sessions with internal team

• Contribution to methodology refinement and best practices

Requirements

Must-Have Experience

· Several years technical due diligence or M&A technology consulting

· Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to C-level executives

· Experience working with private equity firms or strategic acquirers

· Track record of managing high-stakes, time-sensitive client engagements

Technical Requirements

· Understanding of software development lifecycle and architecture principles

· Familiarity with code quality metrics and technical risk assessment

· Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical frameworks

· Experience with technical debt analysis and security risk evaluation
