Central DuPage Hospital has three stepdown, intermediate units

All time and part time positions are available!

 CDH Cardiac Intermediate (3A)

• 26 bed cardiac step-down unit that is part of Northwestern Medicine’s prestigious Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI)
• As part of BCVI, we are able provide the same advanced cardiac care normally only available at a major academic medical center, but in a suburban setting.
• Our unit cares for patients with a variety of cardiovascular diagnoses, including post cardiac surgeries and procedures.
• We are proud to be in the country’s top decile of patient satisfaction for over 8 years!
• Cross training opportunities to the Telemetry Department

CDH Neuro Intermediate (3B)

• 24 bed neurosciences unit providing care to patients requiring medical and surgical treatment of acute neurological and spine disorders
• Neurological conditions include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the CNS. Neurosurgical patients include aneurysm repair, CS leaks & lumbar drains, post-op neurosurgical and spinal patients.

CDH Med/Surg Intermediate (3C)

• • 26 bed fast paced, high acuity Intermediate Medical Surgical Unit
  • Highly engaged staff active in shared governance and committed to multidisciplinary rounds at the bedside

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree that will complete BSN within 2 years of hire.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• Basic Life Support
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytic abilities
