Transportation Design Engineer I, II, or III

TxDOT’s is looking for a Transportation Design Engineer based in Tyler TX in our Central Project Development section. This position involves performing engineering work that includes planning project development, design and project management. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. The role also encompasses project management for PS&E, cost estimation and scheduling. Work requires interaction with private entities and government officials. The transportation engineer must be proficient in project management processes including contract and work authorization processing.

Salary Ranges:
