Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) acts as a crucial link between our R&D and manufacturing facilities, playing a vital role in securing the present portfolio and delivering future launches of high-quality and innovative drugs and vaccines. By driving its own transformation, Global MSAT fulfils an important function by providing day-to-day manufacturing support, focusing on technical and process aspects, effective life cycle management, process robustness enhancement, and yield improvements to optimize performance.

The technology transfer (TT) group is responsible for delivering best-in-class technology transfers (TTs) to enable Sanofi’s growth in existing and new products. The group is responsible to establish and maintain the TT infrastructure, standards and processes for Sanofi for all TTs from R&D to manufacturing supply, within the manufacturing supply network and the external network of CMOs. The range of TTs spans new product introductions, site to site transfers and life cycle programs. The TT group is also responsible for understanding and applying internal and external benchmarks to establish and deliver the roadmap to top decile TT, comprising of standardization, simplification and digitization of the TT framework. The team will drive best-in-class on time and right-first-time performance by setting and driving KPIs as well as best practice sharing through an internal Community of Excellence.

The job holder will contribute to successful delivery of the roadmap of new products introduction programs. The job holder will strengthen the global TT team to enable successful technology transfers of new drug product manufacturing processes from a sending site to a receiving site. These manufacturing sites have significantly invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. Diversification continues to bring new products to these sites, and the expanded portfolio continues to create new opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure rigorous adherence to the TT methodology, being accountable for reliable delivery of full scope of Tech Transfers within M&S (on time, right-first-time and within budget) and for establishing and executing the TT framework.

  • Responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring project governance and decision-making routes are agreed upon, communicated, and respected by sending and receiving sites.

  • Collaborate with sending and receiving site project leaders/coordinators to perform detailed budgeting.

  • Provide and ensure the right level of support for the transfer from the sending site in terms of technical, documentation, training, and post-transfer monitoring support.

  • Ensure that the transferred process performs to expectations and is sustainable, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with HSE standards.

  • Conduct tech transfer in a systematic, controlled, and well-documented way, following company guidelines and best practices.

  • Act as the guardian of the associated process know-how and company intellectual property (IP).

  • Handle the most complex, high-stakes projects and is recognized as TT expert within the team.

  • Drive any type of TT execution through TT methodologies and ensure the TT strategy definition as well as the right TT governance.

  • Has a global scope of responsibilities across various sites, being internal Sanofi sites or external sites (CMOs, partners, etc.). Can handle Tech Transfers (process transfer and analytical transfer) of drug substance, drug product and formulation, within the GBUs associated (Vaccine, Specialty Care, and GenMed). These TTs are within DS and/or DP for New Launches, R&D transfers to M&
