We are seeking a Software Application Developer to support our customer’s IT operations in Norfolk, VA. The effort provides IT services, audio/video support, application development, network engineering, operations, information assurance, and knowledge management support. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. 

 

Software Application Developer Primary Duties:

• The contractor will design, develop, manage and maintain the customer’s requirements system and audit  system using ASP.NET, T-SQL, C#, Python, R, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web related technologies.
• Build prototype models using but not limited to Data Modeling Tools, mock up sites, and Flow Charts. These will be fully functional prototypes that allow users to get acquainted with a new way of doing business and provide a mechanism for feedback.
• Implement information assurance security controls such as IAVA, STIG, support Zero Trust requirements, and 508 accessibility compliance.
• Support Azure Cloud environment administration including but not limited to Azure App Services, SQL Managed Instances, Key Vault, Virtual Machines, and Storage Accounts / Containers.
• Assist in configuration and utilization of Azure DevOps code repositories, pipelines, Agile Board work tracking, security, and account management.
• Integrate Artificial Intelligence cloud services into solutions to provide the command improved decision making capabilities.
• Write application(s) user guides and provided technical support/assist to end users of the application.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of other custom applications.
• Work with a team of developers and gather requirements from customers.
• Build reports and dashboards using SQL Reporting Services, Power BI, and/or similar Business Intelligence technologies.
• Perform thorough code testing and error validation prior to deploying to production.
• Participate in the planning, documentation, design, meetings, development, review of the custom SharePoint solutions and/or applications and Information Assurance.
• Translate high-level business requirements into specific design by developing an effective and efficient
• prototyping/storyboard process to communicate user experience visions to stakeholders
• Develop technical guides of applications and provide technical support and training to end users.
• Utilize Visual Studio and Virtualization technology for application and solution development.
• Enforce Information Assurance security requirements on all developed applications.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations such as best practices on current and trending technologies on their potential use and gain for the customer.

Qualifications

Software Application Developer Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Associate Degree in Computer Science with additional 2 years of experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, proficiency and in depth knowledge in application development using Microsoft SQL Server (Database Engine, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services), PowerShell, ASP.NET, C#, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Windows Server, Visual Studio, and web related technologies.
• Two years of experience in the utilization of Azure cloud services and deploying solutions through Azure
• Proficient and in depth experience in data modeling, Python and R development, user interface and/or experience (UI/UX) design and implementation.
• Proficiency and in-depth experience with Azure services and/or other comparable cloud
• Knowledge and experience on Open AI or similar AI
• Experienced and proficient in the installation, configuration, and management of virtualization technology such as Hyper- Virtual Box and VMware.
• Excellent and proficient communication and writing skills as well as the ability to be a self-motivated member of Development Team.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, prioritizing efforts
