About the role

Overview

This position is responsible for executing the end-to-end (E2E) procurement strategy for the PFNA Rigids category (cans, bottles, jars, and closures). 

 

This will include but not limited to the following: in depth data analysis to unlock insights and strategy development, ensure growability, support the VE and sustainability agenda, supply assurance, driving productivity and enhancing financial reporting across rigid food packaging.

 

Additionally, this role will provide an opportunity to learn and to leverage strategic, commercial, and analytical capabilities to support the future of the Flexible and Rigid packaging category.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute rigid category strategic procurement activities such as spend and volume analysis, TCO analysis, RFx and tenders, annual business plan development, strategy development, supply assurance/contingency planning and financial reporting
  • Develop and drive productivity initiatives through category analytics and industry best practices
  • Develop, manage, and share rigid category dashboard - highlighting pricing, trends, and key market insights
  • Lead rigid category forecasting, procure to pay, monthly reconciliations, invoice concerns, rebates and reporting activities
  • Engage and partner across the E2E value chain to understand rigid packaging requirements to support and execute against business priorities
  • Work alongside functional and leadership teams to understand and execute strategy to deliver against PepsiCo’s sustainability goals
  • Lead and coordinate sustainability reporting requirements for PFNA rigid packaging category
  • Lead and coordinate diversity reporting requirements for PFNA rigid packaging category
  • Engage with PFNA innovation teams, suppliers, and PBNA category leads to understand and support the commercialization of rigid packaging innovation projects
  • Lead and implement digital transformation efforts for rigids category
  • Actively pursue opportunities for process improvements and digitalization to increase efficiency
  • Lead rigids category efforts to identify and drive process efficiencies and eliminate waste
  • Ensure compliance to PepsiCo policies, standards and terms and conditions to ensure best in class economics and minimized risk
  • Identify robust BCP plans for PFNA Rigids categories
  • Conduct category landscape analysis for PFNA Rigids categories
  • Ensure accurate AOP plans, price variance and standards
  • Lead cross-functional work with R&D, internal and external FLUS plants/copackers and suppliers to ensure testing and qualification of identified VE projects and new items
  • Support broader packaging category reporting and requirements as needed
  • Success in role can lead to various other positions across Procurement and Operations

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Management, or similar field. MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of related experience in Packaging, Finance, Analytics and/or CPG manufacturing operations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate vision, influence, and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills, with thought leadership that drives strategy setting and execution
  • Eager to embrace and lead change, ability to manage in PepsiCo’s ambiguous matrixed environment
  • Preferred knowledge of PepsiCo P&L, YOY cost savings and PV metrics
  • Regular & frequent interaction with Supply Chain, Co-Man, Material Planning, Graphics Commercialization, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Ops
  • Internally motivated and driven with the ability to work independently to manage programs and successfully function in an ambiguous environment
