Responsibilities:

Job Summary
Teaches Family Medicine Residents in the Family Medicine Center and at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center. Coordinates and directs a variety of curriculum areas and performs selected administrative duties for the residency and the hospital. Functions as a role model for residents in the clinical practice of medicine. Staff member must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the life span and demonstrate the skills necessary to provide direct and indirect care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must possess the ability to assess each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Department Operating policies.
Essential Functions
  • Participates as attending physician at the Family Medicine Center and on hospital rounds in rotation with other faculty.
  • Maintains an active medical practice.
  • Performs director’s duties in his/her absence.
  • Participates in residency related committees as assigned.
  • Participates in resident evaluations
  • Participates in interviewing and selection of resident applicants.
  • Designs implements and coordinates assigned curricular areas
  • Designs implements and coordinates assigned curricular areas
  • Acts as advisor for assigned residents
  • Performs chart review of Family Medicine Center charts
  • Serves on hospital committees as appointed
  • Provides letters of recommendation for residents and staff as required
Education
  • Doctorate MD or DO - Required
Experience
  • 3 years residency in Family Medicine - Required
  • Other Current or prior experience in a primary care residency program - Required
  • Other Obstetrics skills - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Physician\PHYS - Physician Eligible for Arizona State License Board Certified in Family Medicine, ABFM Upon Hire - Required
