Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Design Engineer, Damper/Hydraulics role is responsible for the design and manufacturing of dampers, inerters, and suspension components. You will work with the Head of, Design and R&D and Director, Vehicle Dynamics to take suspension performance targets from the concept stage to mechanical design, prototype evaluation, and production.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Design work focused on dampers, inerters, hydraulics, and suspension devices
• Validation of component operational characteristics and targets
• Collaboration with Director, Vehicle Dynamics on performance deliverables
• Strength and fatigue analysis, including FEA and physical testing
• Limited travel to some races and test events

Requirements

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years experience in a motorsports or related field
• CAD Design experience, Solidworks preferred
• Drawing/Drafting and GD&T experience
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Proven design proficiency with dampers, inerters, and suspension components
• Background with hydraulic analysis
