Senior Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

• Lead the entire systems engineering team in providing support associated with the administration of virtual and physical servers, as well as the applications and services provided to a geographically distributed user community.
• Have at least five (5) years of experience working with the Microsoft computing environment.
• Have considerable knowledge and experience of basic network technologies.
• Strong capability of troubleshooting minor network connectivity issues such as network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration issues; basic messaging system administration (e-mail); PC and server hardware familiarity including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues using configuration analysis and subsystem (hard drive, memory, monitors, and power supplies) repair/replacement procedures.
• Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Domain Administration, Active Directory, domain controllers, Domain Names Services (DNS).
• Demonstrated experience managing/responding to trouble tickets from Help Desk/Service Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
• Have the ability to perform hardware and software System O&M support, including patches, upgrades, service packs, and hotfixes to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Strong experience performing backup and recovery functions of System components.
• Hold and/or maintain a current Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert & Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.
• Public Trust clearance is required.
