Team Lead - Quality Assurance

Position Overview

Provide leadership and support to the Quality area area. Responsible for performance of group of employees for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform team huddle meetings.

· Ensure PPE adherence.

· Understand status of WIP levels, downtime, and delivery requirements.

· Develop training plan and support training requirements.

· Review defect reports with team members and implement containments and countermeasures.

· Update team shop floor management board.

· Collaborate with department leads for talent management and continuity of production.

· Ensure Quality Gates are in place and followed.

· Review TPM schedule for any discrepancies and issues.

· Review option content for next day’s build.

· Support continuous improvement (Kaizen).

· Complete process audits.

· Confirm early/late OT requirements with Supervisor.

· Verify 5S and housekeeping activities and action items are being completed.

· Update all daily metrics for following shifts huddle review.

· Support standard work, line balancing, work instruction development.

· First point of contact for Engineering, Materials, Facilities, and Quality support.

Requirements

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training and Job knowledge Requirements

· Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience preferred.

· Must possess effective communication & organizational skills.

· Ability to work and adapt in a high performance, fast-paced team environment required.

· Excellent problem-solving skills required.

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
