Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Software Engineer (Undersea Warfare). In this role, you will support software development, integration, and testing tasks within undersea programs. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of developing applications in C/C++, Java, Ada, or similar languages. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Demonstrated ability developing applications in Java or C/C++
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
Basic knowledge of embedded systems
Basic knowledge of real time operating systems
Basic knowledge of linux/vxworks
Basic knowledge of software configuration management tools (git, GitLab)
Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
