Processing Manager | Sage Home Loans 

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.  

As a Processing Manager at Sage, you’ll lead a high-performing team of processors with a focus on accuracy, speed, and integrity—putting clients first in every step of the loan journey. What You'll Do  

•  Manage pipeline capacity & assign new loans to current team 

• Directly supervise a team of 10-12 Processors 

• Ensure proper quality, efficiency and production from their team 

• Work closely with Sales to maintain pipeline movement 

• Process loans as necessary to assist with any pipeline overflow 

• Audit files for compliance and technical accuracy throughout the loan process: RESPA/GFE, all applicable state/federal tests, TILA & other required state specific disclosures. 

• Conduct regular team meetings, monthly 1:1’s and performance reviews with staff, to foster on-going dialog regarding performance  

• Conduct interviews, new hire orientation, training and disciplinary action 

• Ensuring the department is staffed at an efficient level by forecasting department needs and understanding measurements in place to determine both capacity and efficiency 

• Setting clear performance expectations and holding direct reports accountable to completing action plans and meeting them 

• Maintaining and enforcing quality standards of mortgage loan files to be consistent with FNMA/Freddie & Investor guidelines 

• Identifying exception trends; taking immediate performance action to correct issues 

 

 

 

What We're Looking For 

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) that’s helped you build strong analytical and communication skills. 

• Around 10+ years in the mortgage industry, including 7+ years in loan processing and 5+ years leading teams—you’ve seen the process from all angles and know how to guide others through it. 

• A natural attention to detail and sound judgment that helps you make confident, accurate decisions. 

• Comfort working independently while staying highly collaborative and engaged with your team. 

• Solid understanding of DU and LP AUS systems and familiarity with FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and an openness to learning new tools that streamline your work. 

• Strong communication and presentation skills—you know how to connect with people and make complex topics clear. 

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the agility to balance multiple priorities at once.
