Location: Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $14.35 - $17.00 per hour

Job Summary: The Security & Safety Officer position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure facility by actively monitoring the premises and patrolling a variety of locations amongst the park. The position will be expected to maintain collaborative relationships with department managers and assist with maintenance and grounds keeping projects during down time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol the park grounds on foot and/or motorized vehicles
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons at the backstage entrance to the park
• Respond quickly to all security needs and calls for service
• Communicate when suspicious activity appears
• Provide customer service when necessary to park patrons and employees
• Work closely with local public agencies when extreme security concerns arise
• Complete daily reports of activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Investigate reported disturbances
• Write detailed reports and/or statements from victims and witnesses when security and safety issues occur
• Maintain record of keys, radios and other facility equipment that is signed out from the Security post
• Assist with various maintenance, landscaping, and general facilities projects as time allows
• Other Duties as assigned.

Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in similar position required
• Proven experience in effective de-escalation techniques
• Ability to maintain patron, employee and company confidentiality
• Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information for incidents
• Able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds, as needed
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screening and background checks.

Work Environment:

• Significant time spent outdoors, often in extreme heat
• Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday (Required).
• Ability to traverse various areas of the facility to conduct inspections and plan security procedures.
