• Integrates Respiratory Care departmental activities into the organization's primary function.
• Creates and manages the financial and clinical operational strategy for the Respiratory Care Department.
• Coordinates and integrates Respiratory Care interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.
• Ensures enough qualified and competent teammates to carry out the functions of the department.
• Assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided.
• Establishes the qualifications and competence of departmental personnel.
• Oversees the maintenance of personnel records, as well as, adheres to Advocate Health's guidelines for human relations in dealing with staff, patients, visitors, and physicians.
• Oversees the maintenance of quality and infection control programs as appropriate.
• Develops strategy for orientation, in-service training, and education to all persons within the Respiratory Care Department.
• Maintains Joint Commission and other regulatory org
