What’s the role?

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead a cross functional team focused on a new business growth opportunity for sellers on Etsy!

As a Staff Product Manager supporting our sellers, you'll be charged with making Etsy the best place for our sellers to expand their business and connect with their customers. You'll do this by taking on new and innovative opportunities while working cross functionally with business teams and your own squad of engineering, design, research, marketing, and analytics to deliver important products, features and experiences.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Group PM in our Seller Inventory group and the base salary range will be 172,000 - 224,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States, who are either remote, flex, or office-based. What’s this team like at Etsy?

This new squad is made up of hard-working and experienced members with positive track records at Etsy. Together with your engineering and design partners, you will be the product lead on a new and exciting critical strategy for Etsy and seller long term growth. In the short term, the team will be responsible for generating findings and insights that will be used to guide the trajectory of this new offering. In the long term, the team will craft a compelling strategy and roadmap that is rooted in customer problems and creates sustained value.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Lead a product strategy that is clearly articulated, easily understood, and delivers important impact to our customers and business.
  • Develop a roadmap that includes continuous iteration, rapid experimentation and is flexible enough to absorb new findings and inputs.
  • Collaborate with outstanding designers, user research experts, data analysts, engineers and data scientists to define goals and craft value creating experiences.
  • Using a strong product management foundation, critical trade-off assessment and analytical inputs like user research; explore, ideate, validate, and build products that are strategically aligned with our business goals.
  • Drive decision making for large working groups that consist of internal and sometimes, external, partners.
  • Be accountable for the performance of core products and experiences in our seller platform, including impact to the business and our customers.

Qualifications

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience with consistent success in leading high impact teams towards significant goals.
  • Excited and passionate about using product management principles to solve problems at scale, develop strategies and roadmaps, and collaborate to achieve success.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data (especially from A/B tests) to make product decisions while knowing when to lean on intuition.
  • Inspiring, engaging and clear communication style; optimistic and forward-looking.
  • Natural collaborator who knows how to drive decision-making with partners like Business, Engineering, Product Design, Analytics, and Research.
