About the role

University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine) is the region’s largest and most comprehensive multi-specialty physician group practice. The CU Medicine team delivers business operations, revenue cycle and administrative services to support the patients of over 4,000 University of Colorado School of Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers. These providers bring their unparalleled expertise at the forefront of medicine to deliver trusted, compassionate health care services at primary and specialty care clinics as well as facilities operated by affiliate hospitals of the University of Colorado.

We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Services Specialist to join our Business Development and Planning department.

Due to the nature of this role, we will only consider candidates who currently reside in Colorado or those with firm plans to relocate to Colorado.

The Physician Services Specialist will support projects related to new ventures and strategic initiatives for Physician Services. The Specialist works with the Physician Services Senior Specialist and/or his/her designee to plan, organize, execute, and report on activities aimed at strengthening the physician services and medical staff relationships within CU Medicine, the School of Medicine and affiliate Hospitals, as well as non-affiliate and independent healthcare organizations, hospitals, and physician practices throughout CU Medicine’s clinic service area. The individual in this position will coordinate and execute on projects and events, manage resources/schedules, and create presentations/documents linked to the support of CU Medicine’s physician services program initiatives.

Essential Duties
• Support the planning and execution of community outreach efforts by working with the CU Medicine management team, CPD operations, Clinic Management, and Providers to establish and grow the presence of CU Medicine providers (physicians and APPs), CU Medicine Clinics and affiliate entities as the healthcare providers of choice through the utilization of marketing strategies that align with established strategic initiatives and business plans.
• Work with Physician Services Manager to build and maintain physician relations strategy.
• Build relationships with community practices, inclusive of CU Medicine, CU School of Medicine (SOM), affiliate organizations, and non-affiliated/independent practices and health systems, throughout CU Medicine’s service area.
• Utilize Sg2’s provider market intelligence and analytics capabilities to understand provider referral patterns and plan provider outreach.
• Assist with project and program definitions, plans, and scope of work on various projects. Maintain quality standards of performance, functionality, and cost.
• Work with CU Medicine/CU SOM to facilitate needs assessments to understand and execute marketing goals.
• Participate in and coordinate event management activities focused on establishing and growing the presence/recognition of CU Medicine providers and freestanding clinics in the metro area.
• Support NRC Health reputation platform for all CU Medicine clinics and associated CU School of Medicine providers.
• Partner with clinics, providers, and internal team to support the accuracy of online directory and other healthcare-specific listings for all CU Medicine clinics and associated CU School of Medicine providers.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• Sales, marketing, or communications experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience with project coordinator and/or physician services highly preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint required.
• Familiarity with provider market intelligence and analytics tools, such as Sg2 or Trilliant preferred.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies preferred.
