What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
- Safely handle and restrain patients using appropriate techniques
- Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
- Place IV catheters and support fluid therapy
- Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures
- Provide attentive post-operative monitoring and recovery care
- Assist with laboratory diagnostics and other clinical procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care to patients throughout their visit
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding patient care and veterinary recommendations
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain an efficient hospital workflow
What You’ll Bring
- Registered Veterinary Technician credentials or significant hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Confidence performing blood draws and IV catheter placement
- Experience preparing, monitoring, and recovering surgical patients
- Strong client communication and customer service skills
- The ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- A commitment to high-quality medicine and compassionate patient care
