TOOL ROOM ATTENDANT (Day- Shift )

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Tool Room Attendant consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

     

• Develop, implement and manage inventory for all tools, supplies and machine parts in the shop.
• Create Min and Max inventory levels and perform daily inventory cycle counts.
• Assist Maintenance Manager on purchasing tools, supplies and machine parts.
• File and maintain equipment manuals (i.e. Master, Maintenance & Machine).
• Keep maintenance shop clean and organized.
• Clean and maintain small hand tools and shop equipment.
• Perform daily safety inspections in shop and on shop equipment.
• Coordinate shipping of parts and equipment for repair.
• Receive and stock inventory.
• Perform any other duties established by the Maintenance Manager.

 

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Mechanical Aptitude required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 1 - 2 years in a maintenance shop environment preferred.
• 1-2 year inventory work experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Forklift and Overhead Crane Operation experience preferred.
• Valid Class-C Driver License required
