Job Description
The Business Travel Sales Manager works with our Associate Director, Complex Business Travel Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing and will fully develop and manage the negotiated transient market segment with a focus on our local accounts (1-9 rooms with an annual contract).
Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is passionate about interacting with our clients, guests, and associates to strategically elevate the performance and reputation of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Manage the corporate transient and consortia markets with a focus on business development of local accounts (1-9 rooms with an annual contract)
- Responsible for total account management of all local negotiated accounts including contracting, account management, and servicing the needs of these local contacts.
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with Omni Hotels & Resorts Global Business Travel Team.
- Responsible for completing and implementing local RFPs jointly with the Complex Business Travel team.
- Participate in weekly revenue merchandising meetings, monthly sales meetings, stand up daily and monthly sales meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Responsible for maintaining all Business Travel reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Attend monthly All BT conference calls with corporate office.
Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have at least 2 years of hotel sales experience (BT experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and research skills to identify prospective customers.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary.
- Experience in outbound solicitation, site inspections/visits with clients, and contract negotiations.
- Strong customer service and rapport building skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel as needed to represent the Hotel.
- Must have a flexible schedule to work nights, weekend and holidays as necessary
