Oncology Courier - Medical Oncology - Part Time

Job Summary: 

The Oncology Courier will be responsible for transporting lab specimens. The Courier will be responsible for the secure, timely, and compliant transport of medical samples and related materials within a single facility (e.g., a hospital or large clinic complex). This role ensures specimen integrity and supports timely patient diagnosis and treatment. The courier is constantly on the move and must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Reliability and Punctuality: Strong time management skills and dependability are crucial due to the time-sensitive nature of lab specimens.
• Customer Service Skills: Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with healthcare professionals and staff.

Essential Functions:

• Specimen Transport: Safely deliver various items, including blood, tissue, and other lab specimens, medical records, supplies between departments or floors.
• Adherence to Protocols: Strictly follow all safety, biohazard, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols and regulations to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all specimens and patient information.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  The pay for this position ranges from $17.00-$22.37 per hour.
