About the role
The AWS Social Responsibility & Impact (SRI) organization is seeking a Strategic Planning Lead to support org-level planning and execution mechanisms. Reporting to the Principal, Strategic Planning, the Strategic Planning Lead will work closely with SRI leadership to deliver bar-raising operational plans, business reviews, and data-driven analysis. We are looking for a candidate with skills in change management, collaboration, and communications (written and oral), along with a passion for building a strong and inclusive team culture. The successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful, and able to identify and solve problems on behalf of the team.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with the Principal, Strategic Planning to deliver strategic plans and business reviews.
• Support planning of team meetings and off-sites, including developing agendas, booking events, and managing other logistical requirements.
• Develop, track, and report on team goals and success metrics.
• Lead event planning for SRI presence at key internal and external events (Summits, re:Invent).
• Lead special projects related to team strategy, industry research, etc.
• Partner with the Operations Lead and SRI Business Partners to build team operations mechanisms, including budget management and reporting tools, third-party contracting processes, communications channels, and knowledge management tools.
• Serve as proxy for Principal, Strategic Planning during PTO and business travel.

- 3+ years of post-undergraduate and pre-Master's professional or military experience
- Master's degree
- Relevant experience in strategic planning, operations, goal setting, and financial management
- Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders including senior management
- Relevant experience in managing large-scale programs or projects
- Demonstrated interest in social impact work
- University degree in business, sustainability, or related field
- Experience as Chief of Staff, Operations Le
