The Technical Services Coordinator supports education and research in the department by coordinating the operation and maintenance of the department’s maker space and computer lab. Operate and maintain equipment in both spaces, instructing faculty and students on safe utilization of equipment and facilities. Coordinate work with other campus facilities as needed. Recruit, train, and supervise student workers including approving timecards. Work with department faculty to schedule projects in support of coursework. Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating problems to department management, CALS IT, equipment vendors, or other service providers as needed. Perform or oversee maintenance of equipment including ensuring required software licenses are appropriately maintained. The Technical Services Coordinator cultivates a climate of academic exploration, creativity, and innovation with the context of safe, well-organized, clean and well-maintained technical facilities. Provide consultation to students and faculty on various types of computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, database, desktop publishing, 3D modeling, CAD, and GIS, etc.) 

Required Qualifications
