The U.S. National Aviation Market Leader is a senior executive leadership role responsible for setting strategy, driving growth, and strengthening WSP’s aviation market presence nationwide
This individual will provide strategic vision, executive‑level client engagement, and operational oversight for aviation planning, design, program management, and construction support services across major U.S. markets. The role works closely with executive leadership, regional transportation and infrastructure business leaders, national business sector leadership, client account teams and our global aviation network to ensure consistent delivery excellence and profitable growth.
Your Impact
- Lead with Vision: Serve as the primary market leader for aviation across the U.S. Region, establishing and executing growth strategies aligned with WSP’s national aviation business plan.
- Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate trusted partnerships with airport authorities, airlines, federal agencies, and key industry stakeholders across the aviation ecosystem.
- Win Strategic Work: Lead major pursuits and proposals, including strategy development, client positioning, teaming, pricing, and interview leadership.
- Drive Performance: Oversee project delivery performance, ensuring excellence in quality, safety, schedule, financial results, and client satisfaction.
- Foster Collaboration: Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with regional and national leadership to identify cross‑selling and integrated service opportunities across WSP business lines.
- Develop High-Performing Teams: Recruit, mentor and empower talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
- Champion the Industry: Represent WSP externally through industry advocacy, conferences, thought leadership, and client forums to enhance our brand and influence.
- Ensure Compliance & Ethics: Promote responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 17+ years of progressively responsible experience in the aviation market, including leadership of complex airport or aviation‑related programs.
- Demonstrated success in market leadership, business development, and client relationship management within the aviation sector.
- Strong understanding of FAA funding programs, airport governance structures, and aviation capital planning.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and large‑scale pursuits.
- Established professional network across the U.S. aviation industry
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or equivalent professional licensure.
- Experience serving in a regional or national aviation leadership role.
- Prior responsibility for P&L management or significant revenue growth targets.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and visibility within industry organizations.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $271,000 - $397,540
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
