Summary
- Under limited supervision performs a variety of complex administrative duties in the office of the ombudsmen for the director's office.
- Plan, supervise, coordinate and deliver customer service.
- Review e-mails & phone calls to determine proper routing.
- Conducts follow through on concerns and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Document In the constituent services spreadsheet for tracking.
- Receives and distributes incoming mail to the appropriate staff members, documenting as needed on the automated system for tracking purposes.
- Routes correspondence to the proper officials.
- Responds to ARTSM for the office, to include entering paper 19-11 requests to staff member.
- Drafts position descriptions, position action requests, employee performance management system. Enter leave and attendance records.
- Drafts retirement letters, cards, miscellaneous corr.
- Complete travel paperwork.
- Prepare books for various meetings.
- This position has daily contact with inmates.
Examples of duties
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
A high school diploma and five years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
A degree may be substituted for up to four years of the related work experience on a year-for-year basis.
