What You Will Do

The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for the design and build of the systems and services that enables Oracle to deliver industry-leading availability and performance objectives for Oracle’s SaaS services. The team architects and develops high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack – infrastructure, database, platform, and application services – and all the dependent components. The engineering innovations enable SaaS services to be available to customers without any disruptions even during large-scale incidents. We are building the next-gen service continuity solutions in a fast-pace and innovative environment and looking for Software Engineer who can design and develop services that operate at scale. 

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that our SaaS services are designed and built with the highest level of availability and resiliency in mind. You will Design and build major Intergration and Platform layer features and launching them into production. You will collaborate with other engineering teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing SaaS Services and underlying platform in a distributed cloud environment. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and must understand large-scale systems.  This role will develop service continuity solutions, contribute to the product strategy, and contribute to the development of next generation availability and resiliency features for Oracle’s SaaS cloud environment.

Required Qualifications

• MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages
• Experience with containers and cloud native components
• Solid understanding of Platform as a service (PaaS) preferably Oracle SOA Cloud Service, Java Cloud Service, and various Marketplace offerings in Oracle or other cloud providers
• Working knowledge of the Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) service model of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or any similar cloud providers. knowledge of key concepts like Compute, Storage, networking, Security & Identity, databases and Observability Pipelines
• Experience in designing and deployment resilient and fault tolerant systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges
• 8+ years' experience developing solutions for large enterprise systems in cloud / distributed cloud environment
• Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment with DevOps Development Experience

Preferred Qualifications 

• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic Networking knowledge and experience in using Load Balance tools
• High-availability design, configuration, and maintenance, including clustering and load balancing for WebLogic (Vertical or Horizontal), security and monitoring
• Automation of various IaaS and PaaS offerings using REST APIs and Inbuilt CLIs for Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience in performance tuning and well versed with performance related issues like slowness, out of memory and server unavailable

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
