The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) software capability is seeking multiple Embedded Software Engineers (Associate / Mid-level) in Fairfax, VA, Annapolis Junction, MD, El Segundo, CA or Huntington Beach, CA.
The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. Position Responsibilities:
• Assists with designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards.
• Assists with reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into the design of software products for embedded devices and systems.
• Develop code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
• Integrates embedded software with hardware components.
• Analyzes, monitors and improves the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
• Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems.
• Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies.
• Advises on software and hardware integration domains.
• Troubleshoots software issues
• Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• 1+ years of experience in software development in any real-time operating system environment, such as VxWorks and Deos
• 1+ years of experience with Object-Oriented Development in C++
• 1+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
