DUTIES:
- Lead technical workgroups and functions as a technical expert.
- Resolve and make decisions on more complex, non-routine service requests with limited to moderate risk.
- Architecting, Design and build cloud enterprise application by using Java micro services and enterprise design patterns.
- Perform research, analysis, design, creation and implementation of software applications to meet current and future user requirements.
- Define and create the next generation of solutions to drive Marriott value.
- Monitor multiple software related projects by Service Provider to successful completion, maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints.
- Create solutions that serve our business leveraging current and leading-edge technologies in an innovative and impactful manner..
- Proficient in integration patterns and using middleware technologies like IBM message broker, integration tools like Boomi, MuleSoft.
- Expert in REST web services API component development and integrating with different systems like Salesforce, sap, database using Boomi/MuleSoft.
- Proficient in creating CI/CD pipelines using Harness/Jenkins and implementing gitflow for release process help.
- Proficient in working with Apache kafka for real-time data streaming and message brokering.
- Proficient in Agile Methodology, creating a Theme for a release breaking down into Epics and Stories, further to tasks completion.
- Working on Offshore/Onshore model and leading team to deliver projects in on time with high quality.
- Experience with application monitoring tools like Dynatrace, and the ability to create reports, dashboards.
- Experience in using Splunk or grail for centralized logging, monitoring, analyzing and creating dashboard.
- Provides consultation for routine and complex systems development.
- Ensures early warning to the business stakeholder executives regarding degraded or missed service levels.
- Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure Delivery teams for deployment and production support.
- Trains and mentors other team members, and peers as appropriate.
- Provides financial input on department or project budgets, capital expenditures or other cost/resource estimates as requested.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.
- Follows all defined technology standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.
- Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk.
- Follows the defined project management standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or related technical field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience with custom application development on open-source technologies. Experience must include:
- 3 years of experience with Microservice Architecture, Cloud-Native Application Development, Containerization and Event-Driven Architecture;
- 3 years of experience using Enterprise Integration Patterns with designing, building and deploying Messaging solutions.
- 5 years of experience in Server-side Java, REST, SOAP, Spring Cloud and Spring.
- 5 years of experience writing efficient and robust Java code for high volume applications.
- 3 years of experience using AWS environment and services (i.e. ec2, s3, aws IAM, cloud watch, pin point, lambda, and/or AWS API gateway).
- 3 years of experience using Kubernetes.
- 2 years of experience using Dynatrace monitoring, dashboards, and logging for Dynatrace grail.
- 2 years of experience using harness CI/CD configuration and deployment.
- 2 years of experience in messaging services using Apache Kafka/confluent cloud.
- 2 years of experience in Integrating different system API’s and different technologies.
- 2 years of experience in Perform testing and setting up infrastructure based on resource utilization estimation for service.
- 2 years of experience in integration tools (i.e. boomi, mulesoft, and/or workato)
- 5 years of experience in TDD.
- 2 years of experience in API gateways.
Telework: 100% Remote; position may be performed from anywhere within the U.S.
Travel: Up to 5% travel to Marriot HQ in Bethesda
The salary range for this position is $107,500 to $174,900 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
