About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst within CIB Markets Finance, reporting into Markets Financial Planning & Analysis / Modeling. This role supports development and implementation of finance strategy across CIB Markets and is responsible for managing forecasts and budgets to achieve business goals, improve efficiency, and strengthen governance through effective cross-functional partnership, influence, and alignment.

In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives related to financial research, analysis, and reporting
- Review and analyze moderately complex financial data while providing a broad expertise and unique skills used to develop key metrics reporting, including but not limited to budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting, reviews, and presentation
- Contribute to large scale planning such as economic research in support of management decision making
- Research key financial metric forecasting projections as well as management of financial reporting to support forecasting and budgeting processes
- Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning as well as enhancing financial reporting
- Lead projects to meet the implementation of moderately complex projects impacting one or more lines of business and exercise independent judgment while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Establish effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standard and internal control standards
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Finance experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field; strong business acumen in financial services (particularly banking).
- Highly motivated, self-starting team player accustomed to working in complex organizations, partnering with diverse stakeholders, and delivering results.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to synthesize complex data and communicate clear insights and recommendations.
- Prior experience with balance sheet and/or income statement forecasting; knowledge of asset, liability, and/or liquidity management concepts.
- Markets product knowledge and ability to quickly learn complex instruments.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced Excel (Index/Match, pivot tables, etc.).
- Experience with data and analytics tools such as Essbase, Python, and/or Tableau.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including comfort presenting forecast outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in an ever-changing environment; exercises independent judgment and collaborates to identify and resolve issues.
- Experience with monthly closing, developing financial projections, and establishing goals.
