Advertised Salary: $90,000 - $110,000. Salary commensurate with education, experiences and other requirements. Comprehensive benefit package (health care, vacation, etc.) FLSA: Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Continuing Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time Union Group: Ferris Faculty Association (MEA-NEA) Term of Position: 12 Month At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause Summary of Position: Full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position. Responsible for teaching in laboratory, classroom, and clinic. The candidate will be expected to develop in patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024, at the earliest and September 2024, at the latest. Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing Required Education: At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and must either have completed an accredited optometric residency or have an equivalent degree or experience in patient care. Required Work Experience: At least one year of residency experience or commensurate work/professional experience. Residency experience in specialty contact lens and anterior segment disease is preferred. Required Licenses and Certifications: At the time of appointment, the applicant must have or be eligible for a Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certifications for appointment to the college's clinical staff.
