Job Details:

This position could work in any department of the Processing, Harvest, Warehouse, and Rendering, Yards, or groundskeeping departments.  This position requires the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds and standing 10-12 hours a day. Work around meat environment such as blood, fat, bones, hair, and any other cattle product. This position will be required to work in inclement environment; hot, cold, humid, icy, dusty, etc. with temperatures ranging from 20 degrees to 100 degrees.

The Refrigeration Mechanic position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position must be able to perform various functions within the refrigeration within the entire Pasco complex.  Among those tasks are the ability to read pressure, temperature, vacuum and levels for Steam, Air, Water and Refrigeration processes within the plant and make appropriate corrections if required and/or notify appropriate management personnel. The team member must be able to troubleshoot various pieces of equipment and processes that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.   Work will involve pneumatics, steam, water, electricity and mechanics in general as well as some welding.  All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety.  This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.  Work also requires other duties as assigned

Six (6) months of any mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, boiler, HVAC, plumbing, or welding education, or training experience preferred.  Must be available to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and available for overtime. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, Adams and Umatilla.                              

Hourly Wage- $24.10-$30.95
