Junior Document Controller

This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Junior Document Controller for our Portland, Maine office. The following locations will also be considered: Augusta, ME. Your Impact
- Process, distribute, and maintain controlled documentation using owner document control system.
- Responsible to assist with the development, implementation, training, and auditing of controlled documentation: drawings, procedures, reports, and any other document under revision control.
- Process documents for revision and approval.
- Monitor the distribution and reconciliation of process or reference documents.
- Perform overall document control and flow of engineering design/submittals and processes/reviews.
- Implement master tracking of all packages/deliverables and provide data from this tracking to support management reporting.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- This role will have some administrative responsibilities on the project team such as assisting with ordering office supplies, on-boarding new team members, and similar tasks.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of relevant post education experience with at least 2 years in a position requiring strict adherence to processes and procedures and a requirement for data accuracy.
- Possess high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of commercially available Document Management Systems, such as Project Wise or SharePoint, is strongly preferred.
- Thrive in a team environment; be able to assist other document control/program management resources.
- Ability to work in a busy office with frequently changing priorities.
- This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP.
- Efficient communications and ability to work with team members not located in the same office through MS Teams, email, and/or telephone calls.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States or be able to obtain work authorized status in the United States prior to the start of employment.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $41,000 - $61,800
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
