We're looking for a People Services and Experience associate to join our team! Our People Services and Experience team contributes to Gusto’s success by creating a 5-star experience when employees need information or support on Employment information. This is a highly collaborative role as you will answer questions across all functional areas (HR, Compensation, Benefits, Workforce Management, etc.) as well as work with business partners to ensure our wiki pages and knowledge base stays up-to-date. In this role, you will play a critical role in helping us build scalable processes for serving employees.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Partner with stakeholders from all Employee support teams (HR, Benefits, Compensation, Environment, DE&I, Invite, Equity, Workforce Management, IT) to assist in answering a broad range of Employee Help Center questions using a shared services model of support
- Partner with People Services & Experience to:
- Use systems thinking to drive a more inclusive, innovative, and integrity driven experience for employees
- Build dashboards to better understand employee inquiries to drive team efficiency and adhere to team SLAs
- Help scale and build process maps as new programs are launched and existing programs refreshed
- You’ll also participate in key projects outside of the Employee Help Center with the goal of improving compliance, auditing, and overall hygiene of our people data and systems
Skills to Develop:
- Learning how to work with different stakeholders within and outside of the People Team
- Navigate and update multiple knowledge bases (resources for the internal team as well as the resources available to Gusties)
- Learn from other experienced members of the team to become familiar with the basics of all areas of the People Team. This is great foundational knowledge for a career in People / HR
- Learn how to build and drive feedback cycles by analyzing help center data and trends and implementing new ideas for process and information improvement
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 1 year experience working with JIRA, Workday and Google Suite
- 1 year HR Experience, including payroll and benefits
- Have experience working in a shared service model
- Proven experience with stakeholder management
- Ability to problem solve and find scalable solutions
- College degree or relevant work history
- 1-2 years work experience
- Organized, efficient and able to prioritize effectively.
- You have a keen eye for detail. You're always double checking things.
- Polished communication, both written and verbal.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $63,000 - $72,000 in Denver & $78,000- $90,000 for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above. People Services and Experiences associate can expect to be in-office 2 days/week.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
