What You'll Be Doing
The Senior HR Business Partner provides consultative human resources support to business units within the Institutional group including Investment Banking. The Senior HR Business Partner is the designated expert on the interpretation of HR programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and work cultures in achieving business goals while minimizing risk to the Firm.
What We're Looking For
- Manage and address complex employee relations issues with business group for appropriate resolution including US and abroad. Depending on issue, may work with the employment law group and outside counsel for appropriate action.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on various HR-related topics, including performance management and career development.
- Partner with senior management to identify opportunities opportunities for employee development and planning strategic HR initiatives in support of business objectives.
- Partner with senior managers on strategic searches to manage the search and maximize the return with search firms.
- Manage the employee life cycle for assigned business units while collaborating with management, designated staff in the business group, global HR partners, and other specialty areas within HR for a cohesive process. May include assisting in various administration functions involved with onboarding to separation of employment.
- Partner with other HR specialty areas and business groups to manage any immigration/visa issues.
- Collaborate with other members of the HR team to implement HR strategy in support of the business group's goals and objectives, representing HR to the business units, and reconciling issues that create conflict between HR and business unit strategy.
- Proactively look for ways to improve and enhance current functions within HR and the business group supported.
- Lead and/or participate in various HR related projects.
- Identify trends and recommend actions when appropriate.
- Participate in HR planning, practices, training, development, and meetings; monitor legal updates and collaborate internally to identify opportunities for best practices, efficiency, and continuous improvement;

- Solid understanding and experience with HR Body of knowledge - Business Management & Strategy, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resources Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, and Risk Management.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Understanding of the implications of personal, cost, and business strategies for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum Required: 5+years' of HR experience; Investment Banking experience preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Compensation Range
Salary: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
