Intrepid is a specialty investment bank and provides M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory services to entrepreneurs, family-owned companies, private equity sponsors and major corporations, through dedicated banking teams with deep industry sector experience and over three decades of experience. The firm is based in Los Angeles, with additional offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Charlotte. Intrepid is the middle-market advisory arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (NYSE: MUFG), one of the largest financial groups in the world.

The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Intrepid Investment Bankers is seeking talented professionals for its 2026 full-time Analyst class.

Intrepid is one of the largest and fastest growing specialty middle-market investment banks in the United States, specializing in M&A and capital advisory services. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles, with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, Charlotte, Nashville, and New York.  Analysts in the 2026 class may be offered positions in the firm’s Los Angeles, Charlotte, New York and Nashville offices, with the exact number of positions available in each office expected to be determined when offers are extended.

Responsibilities

Analysts are a critical part of deal teams with significant client access and transactional involvement alongside senior bankers.  Our culture values the long-term development and well-being of our team members and fosters a rare camaraderie throughout the firm that accounts for our high employee retention rate.

Analysts are an important part of Intrepid deal teams, working closely with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, Associates, and clients. Analysts are involved in all phases of execution including:

  • Performing client specific and industry research
  • Organizing, reviewing, and analyzing due diligence processes and materials
  • Developing valuation analyses and models (projections, LBO, DCF, public comparable, historical M&A transactions, etc.)
  • Preparing comprehensive information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materials
  • Compiling prospective acquirer lists
  • Assisting senior bankers in firm building activities (training, recruiting, etc.)

Qualifications
 

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • 0-3 years of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experience (No experience required, but internships are a plus!)
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a top tier school
  • Team player willing to take an integral role in Intrepid’s growth
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as part of a small team
  • Self-starter willing to work in an entrepreneuri
