Marketing Project Coordinator VISTA

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program designed to alleviate poverty in communities across the country. Through a partnership with VISTA, Metropolitan Ministries’ goal is to generate resources to expand housing, outreach, and food programs that support our mission of caring for the homeless and those at-risk of becoming homeless. The marketing department uses social media and local news to connect the Tampa Bay community with services, events, and volunteer opportunities. This role will enhance these efforts by tracking internal requests, creating marketing collateral, developing SOPs, supporting social media and content creation, and preparing award submissions. 

Service Term: 365 days 

Days/Hours: Full time; this position is 40 hours/week. 

Member Duties: 

• Help keep track of internal Marketing requests 
• Assist in creating internal Marketing collateral via graphic design, copy writing, presentations, etc  
• Work with each team member in the Marketing department to create SOPs for each position   
• Ability to support in some capacity in the following areas: social media, photography, videography, writing 
• Meet with marketing team to identify competitions   
• Identify campaigns for submissions  
• Write submission material and work with team on designing the submission material

Requirements

Position Requirements and Specifications: 

• BA degree in related field or equivalent work experience 
• Reliable transportation required. 
• Must be a US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), or someone legally residing within a state. Examples of persons legally residing within a state may include those holding the following classifications: refugee, asylee, temporary protected status throughout VISTA service, and holding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status. 
• Be able to successfully pass a criminal background check 
• Must be available for full time working hours for 1 full year 
• VISTA members must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check
