We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer - Life Support Systems Air Lab Research to join our team with Bastion Technologies.

The Project Engineer for the Life Support Systems Air Lab Research Projects will: 

• Perform hardware design and testing for Life Support Systems (LSS) air lab research projects. This position requires knowledge and ability to work in a Research and Development work environment.
• Select and apply engineering and systems techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work that are broad in scope and complexity. Assist with systems analysis and modeling functions for these projects.
• Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed.
• Coordinate with matrix organizations and vendors in test engineering (planning, apparatus design, execution, reporting, troubleshooting, etc.)
• Perform failure troubleshooting and resolution as needed.
• Work in a team environment and report to a more senior engineer, project lead, or project manager for technical support, task assignment, and processes (training & implementation). 
• Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of engineering tasks. 
• Perform other duties as required.​

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Experience in some or all of the following areas: research laboratory operations, gaseous pressure systems, chemical analysis, mass spectrometry, electrochemical processes, particulate filtration, gas scrubbing, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, oxygen and/or nitrogen systems development, air revitalization systems, life support systems, environmental control systems.
