Job Overview Summary

The Training Specialist is responsible for developing learning and development strategies for the IRB Client Services Team members in Global Review Services. The Training Specialist is responsible for the onboarding of new hires, training and mentoring of new hires, and providing ongoing training needs for the Client Service Coordinators. Training is provided in a manner that will ensure operational quality, efficiency, and training needs are met for all of Client Services.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops curriculum, training plans, and timelines for:
    • Onboarding of new hires
    • Continuing Education for Client Services staff
    • Tracks progress, milestones, obstacles, and completion dates; communicates with staff’s direct report
    • Commencement of new training topics/ training program completion
  • Determines appropriate reassignments for trainees based on current training topic, team workload, and complexity level
  • Serves as primary training liaison for India and other international operations group training
  • Acts as secondary Mentorship contact and CIRBI development liaison
  • Assists in the Interview process for Client Service Coordinators and other staff to ensure technical understanding and ability to thrive in the training program
  • Demonstrates CIRBI expertise and maintains understanding of IRB regulations, internal policies, customer requirements
  • Collaborates across departments to provide individual training support and determine best practices for competency improvement
  • Creates, updates, and maintains training documentation including manuals, diagrams, PowerPoints, and supporting materials
  • Facilitates lunch and learns and other training presentations
  • Conducts web-based training activities and stays current on new CIRBI features and version changes
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives for training group processes
  • Maintains understanding of clinical research industry and best practices
  • Demonstrates responsiveness and urgency in employee interactions

Location

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.

Basic Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma
  • Fluency with Advarra Client Services processes and standards
  • Proficient experience with CIRBI
  • Experience conducting training for individuals and groups in various levels of development
  • Experience conducting training for software or other technical tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement
  • 5 or more years of experience with Advarra Client Services processes

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking
