Position Purpose: Directly supervise clients while assisting psychiatric providers and nursing with client health history/assessment at psychiatric appointments. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess certification as a CNA, CMA, EMT or higher
  • Minimum of one year of experience in addiction treatment or relevant field, or equivalent training or experience
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid training within three months of employment
  • Ability to lead discussion and educational presentations
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to work schedule prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  2. Respond to incoming calls, checking records for compliance and insurance prior to scheduling appointments. Determine and coordinate the platform to be used for scheduling purposes.
  3. Provide oversight and training to all medical assistants on conducting face-to-face review of systems with clients prior to their visits with providers. Ensure accurate documentation of system review.
  4. Ensure all psychiatric appointments with the Psychiatrist are fully booked at all time, and remain available to the provider should any needs arise.
  5. Serve as a backup for medical assistants, providing coverage as needed.
  6. Monitor and promptly respond to medication refill line requests.
  7. Complete all prior authorizations efficiently and accurately.
  8. Oversee the flow of clients within the medical suite, ensuring the efficient delivery of psychiatric services.
  9. Monitor and manage the appointment schedules of providers, proactively filling any available slots and optimizing scheduling efficiency to ensure maximum utilization of time and resources.
  10. Address and resolve any connectivity issues experienced by remote providers, ensuring patient-provider connection and seamless communication.
  11. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  12. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as nursing meetings, department meetings, or appropriate committee meetings as designated.
  13. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  14. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  15. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.16.Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Monday through Friday

Work Location: Rosecrance Ware Center – Rockford, IL

  • Onsite
