Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is hiring a Clinical Director for our Inpatient Rehab unit.  This is an acute, inpatient rehab unit providing care to patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, post-cerebral vascular accidents and more. Strongly prefer candidates with acute care rehabilitation experience. 

This is a Monday-Friday Full Time position with some weekend on call responsibility. Will manage a team of 45 to include nurses, supervisors and nursing support.

The Clinical Director organizes and oversees team members and programs for the unit. The clinical leader will be responsible for supervising and directing nursing team members, budgets and operations. As clinical director you have to possess excellent clinical management and mentoring skills. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively and connect with team members to achieve organizational goals.

Minimum Requirements: 

• 2 years of acute care nursing experience; 
• 1 year of leadership experience. Leadership experience may include RN Unit Supervisor Role, dedicated charge nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager or equivalent role.
• BSN Degree
• Virginia Nursing License or Compact Nursing License
• BLS through American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree
• Acute Rehab Experience
• Experience developing and mentoring teams
