Leader, Supply Chain Operations – Atlanta based

Position Overview:
The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Supply Chain Leader for the Beverage Packaging cluster. The person in this role will report to the Integrated Planning Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning supply planning activities within Beverage Packaging Supply Chain to align forecasted demand with existing inventory, production, and shipping plans. This includes supporting the production of other cluster products from Southern facilities. This includes aligning with plans for bare stock inputs into coating operations at Novelis facilities or third parties. Particularly, this role will work closely with the Supply Chain team at Novelis’ Logan Aluminum joint venture, ensuring their loaded demand is efficiently planned for production by reviewing, improving, and approving Logan’s plans and changes thereof. It includes monitoring Logan’s performance metrics and recommending pivots to ensure priorities are met. This role will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to identify and optimize processes and material flow between plants.
The incumbent enables the planning process by defining and measuring Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics), defining, and setting standards for consistent master planning amongst the Supply Chain group and leading improvement activities intended to improve planning accuracy and cost reduction.

- Facilitate live and forecasted demand into production plans to achieve desired service levels in support of NNA’s business objectives at efficient costs.
- Represent Novelis supply chain as key point of contact with Logan Supply Chain on daily, monthly, and quarterly execution. Provide tactical direction for changes, elevating when appropriate.
- Collaborate between Novelis Supply Chain, Commercial, Logan, and Warren representing production and inventory expectations.
- Collaborate with S&OP personnel to provide necessary inputs, meet plan commitments, and convey Near Term Plan expectations.
- Collaborate with the metal planners as needed to ensure correct ingot supply based on loaded production demand.
- Coordinate with other members of the Master Planning team through development of policies, guidelines and SOPs as well as implementing of standard methodologies
- Develop an environment where planning becomes predictive rather than reactive
- Break down business unit critical metrics into appropriate Supply Planning critical metrics and deliverables
- Translate Supply Chain metrics into concrete tasks in collaboration with peers at both Atlanta as well as the plants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or similar subject area with exposure to supply chain management through experience and/or course work
- Over 5 years related experience in manufacturing company, similar industry is preferred
- Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with customers (internal & external) through follow-up, understanding their needs and encouraging a synergetic relationship
- Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- SAP Experience and Novelis order system experience, and/or quick uptake on learning
- Excellent analytical skills; extracting data and drawing conclusions and recommendations
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to connect with all levels in the organization
- Must possess leadership skills to advise, lead and develop other personnel to accomplish personal, plant and corporate objectives
