United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring an Associate Director, Community Impact (Economic Mobility) to join our team. As Associate Director, Community Impact (Economic Mobility), you will lead United Way Miami's strategic investments, community partnerships, and policy engagement efforts within the Economic Mobility portfolio, with a direct hands-on focus on housing stability and emergency management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Community Impact:
- Lead development and execution of a results-based roadmap to achieve measurable economic mobility outcomes across Miami-Dade County, with direct focus on housing stability and affordability
- Conduct research, community engagement, and needs assessments to develop policy briefs and thought leadership materials
- Identify and analyze public policy issues; translate findings into actionable recommendations and advocacy positions
- Cultivate and secure high-impact partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and funders
- Support the Center for Financial Stability (CFS) team with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) coordination, including partner engagement, volunteer support, and program logistics as needed
Investment Management & Program Oversight:
- Lead implementation of priority tactics within assigned impact area maps and oversee investment processes and grant monitoring
- Manage a portfolio of funded agencies through site visits, data review, reporting, and technical assistance to strengthen partner capacity
- Ensure investment decisions are grounded in data, equity, and organizational alignment
Housing Portfolio Leadership:
- Serve as the organization's primary subject matter expert on housing stability, affordability, and homelessness prevention
- Lead strategy development, funder engagement, and community coordination for the housing portfolio
- Build and maintain relationships with housing agencies, developers, policymakers, and advocacy organizations
Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Response
- Lead and strengthen UWM's disaster preparedness and response infrastructure — an area of significant and growing organizational priority
- Serve as primary liaison for ESF15 and VOAD, representing UWM in county-level emergency planning and response coordination
- Develop and maintain preparedness plans, response protocols, and community coordination frameworks
- Manage strategic partnerships with emergency management agencies and nonprofit organizations
- Lead post-disaster recovery efforts, including resource coordination, needs assessment, and funder reporting
Volunteer & Council Engagement
- Staff and effectively engage assigned Impact Council volunteers as a knowledgeable resource and strategic thought partner
- Facilitate productive council meetings aligned with organizational strategy
Community Presence & Organizational Representation
- Maintain and grow relationships with public
