The Headlines:
In the role of Data Scientist working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Data Science & AI Solutions team within Information Technology (IT). You will combine skills in computer science, mathematics, statistics, and will use domain knowledge to extract valuable insights from data, ultimately helping MCBC innovate and drive business growth. The Data Scientist operates at a high degree of technical expertise, developing data & analytical products for the foundation of capabilities at MCBC. This role will be responsible for using Data Science methods and technology to drive data-driven decision-making.
This position reports to the Data Science Manager and works closely with data scientists, product owners, and other developers on a cross-functional scrum team building Data Science & AI Products. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements and helping design, build and support scalable solutions using Data Science tools. Additionally, you will participate in a broader community of practice around data & AI, using your skills to help develop AI & data literacy within the community.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and GenAI to solve complex business problems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in data science and apply them to improve existing processes and models.
- Improve the knowledge base of the AI & data science community of practice developing and sharing resources like job aids and best practices and assisting less experienced analysts
- Communicate findings and insights through data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field OR equivalent experience
- You have at least 3 to 5 years experience in advanced data mining, model development, and other related skills
- You are proficient in programming languages such as Python or R, and
