Truck Driver Class A CDL

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for the delivery of finished galvanized goods to and from customers in a professional and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive a semi-truck safely and professionally to transport raw and galvanized materials
• Operate a forklift to efficiently transport steel and load/unload parts from truck
• Perform the daily safety checks of equipment
• Properly secure loads for safe transport
• Prepare and package loads
• Interface with customers and other shop personnel in a professional manner

Qualifications:

• Must have a (CDL) Class A Endorsement on driver’s license with 5 year clean record
• Preferred to have 2 years’ experience commercial driving: semi-trucks, flatbed and trailers on the road
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Ability to operate a forklift (prior certification preferred)

Work Environment:

Work is typically performed sitting and driving a truck; however, incumbent will be required to go into the production or shipping/receiving areas daily. 

Work Hours:

AM Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (hours will vary based on route)
