Overview:
This role will be responsible for leading and supervising all aspects of Human Resources, to include recruitment, benefits, training, associate relations, safety & Worker’s Compensation as well as liability prevention and legal compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Support and assist the Director of Human Resources in the overall leadership and operation of the Human Resources department.
• Assume responsibility for the Human Resources Department in the absence of the Director of Human Resources.
• Supervise, coach, and develop hourly and management Human Resources team members.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders regarding employee relations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and compliance matters.
• Conduct investigations and provide recommendations regarding associate relations and employment decisions.
• Clearly and accurately document all associate issues in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
• Ensure legal compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Maintain and oversee compliance related to HRIS, applicant tracking, I-9 documentation, background checks, drug testing, and associate records.
• Support internal audits, HR assessments, and ensure all associate files and HR documentation are maintained according to company standards.
• Lead recruitment efforts including posting positions, attending job fairs, partnering with colleges/universities, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting workforce planning initiatives.
• Monitor staffing forecasts and partner with department leaders to ensure manpower needs are met.
• Oversee internship, J1, and H2B visa programs, ensuring compliance with program requirements, documentation, and reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for visa program participants and provide support throughout their employment experience.
• Assist with compensation initiatives including wage surveys, salary recommendations, market analysis, and performance appraisal processes.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and termination processes to ensure consistency with Omni standards.
• Implement and support associate engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and associate feedback surveys.
• Plan and execute associate events, celebrations, and recognition activities that promote engagement and reinforce company culture.
• Champion Omni’s Six Pillars culture and ensure consistent communication and reinforcement throughout the property.
• Support training and development initiatives and ensure all required compliance training is completed, including topics such as harassment prevention, food handling, and TIPS certification.
• Assist in succession planning and leadership development efforts across departments.
• Maintain effective associate communication channels including bulletin boards, newsletters, posters, and other communication platforms.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting related to recruitment, associate relations, and engagement activities.
• Conduct exit interviews and support final clearance procedures for terminating associates.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or hotel leadership.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or a related service industry.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and associate relations.
• Experience with recruitment, investigations, compliance, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Experience managing HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
