What the Job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

• Advise and challenge plant management and leadership team proactively on all relevant financial matters concerning the API Sites in Switzerland and Germany as well as the leadership team of Contract Manufacturing to optimize plants performance and decision making with contract manufacturing
• Be an active part of strategy development (e.g. Hoshin Kanri), strategic decision taking processes and business opportunity evaluations
• Strive as member of the management teams to operational excellence with continuous improvement and (cost) controlling
• Manage or be part of Global Finance & Controlling Projects with our colleagues from Chile, Ecuador, Italy and Germany   
• Contribute to our GO Controlling Roadmap to lift controlling business partnering to the next level by ensuring group-wide operational excellence in our controlling processes also with introduction of technologies and automation possibilities
• Be responsible for planning and forecasting, adjusting intermediate financial reports to actuals, maintain closing activities
• Act as window person into the finance organization and be contact person for external auditors
• Manage the Global and plant's capital expenditure and fixed asset tracking processes
• Lead and develop the Controlling Graduate, positioning her/him as a key player within the company and ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain the pipeline for planned succession

 

What you'll bring to the table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting  or business administration; MBA preferred at least 3-5 years relevant experience with plant controlling (experience within the chemical/pharma industry is an asset)
• Experience with Operational Excellence - Lean Sigma Methodologies Greenbelt to Blackbelt
• Very good leadership and interpersonal skills with a communicative and result-oriented mindset
• Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make informed decisions based on financial insights.paced, dynamic environment  
• Extensive experience with financial data, reporting and business intelligence applications (e.g. SAP DI/CO, SAP BW/BO, Power-BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Alteryx, Data-Iku, Knime)
• Fluent in Englisch and German, Spanish is a plus
• Excellent analytical, communication & presentation skills
• Willingness to travel
