Software Engineering & Development, VP – Hybrid

Who we are looking for

Senior hands-on Technology leader with 15+ years of experience leading application development for large and complex financial applications. The candidate needs to have a very good understanding of financial domain and of Bank Loans asset class. This is a highly visible position and will have a significant impact on the business. The candidate will work closely with senior business and IT leaders. State Street Bank Loans platform is undergoing long term growth as customers choose to invest in alternative classes of investments. The candidate will be working on building next-gen Bank Loans platform.

What you will be responsible for

As a Software Engineering & Development, VP you will

• Lead global team of software development and QA engineers.

• Ownership and accountability for Bank Loans application platforms, vendor interactions, upstream and downstream integrations and successful rollout

• Oversight and execution of large technology projects

• Building strong partnership with technology & business leaders and peers

• Work closely with the Product Owner and others on requirements analysis, planning, project management, and execution.

• Support production systems to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement of applications supported

• Advocate and implement best practices and improved team processes

• Provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical project implementations.

• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment

What we value

• Experience in working with Vendor platforms and critical transactional systems

• Experience with Oracle, Java, ReactJS, Object store, SQL, MQ/Kafka, Azure, Snoflake, Databricks, Data warehousing Concepts

• Good understanding of Financial domain preferably Bank Loans

• Experience leading agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes

• Expertise and leadership in driving innovation and thought leadership

• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, and people management experience

• Ability to drive change through collaboration and influence

• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to deal with uncertainty and organizational flux in an effective manner

• Aptitude for learning new and complex environments, processes, and technologies

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field

• 15+ years of commercial software development, proficient in developing multi-tier solutions

• 10+ years of demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams/projects

• 10+ years of development experience in Oracle, Java, Unix, SQL, ReacJS, Data Warehousing Concepts

• 5+ years of professional development building encompassing front-to-back architectures and API's

• Architect level experience in designing and implementing financial applications
